Funding Options

Explore Ireland-based funding routes that can help reduce the cost of tech upskilling.

Accessible learning matters.

Funding availability in Ireland depends on your circumstances and the rules of each programme. While Code Labs Academy doesn’t administer external schemes, many learners explore options such as employer sponsorship, subsidised upskilling initiatives, and tax relief on eligible tuition fees.
Our team can help you understand what’s realistic for you and what next step to take.

Springboard+

A Government-backed initiative offering free or subsidised higher education courses in areas of skills demand. Eligibility and course availability vary—check current listings and criteria.

Skillnet Ireland Training Networks

Industry-led training networks that provide subsidised upskilling for employees and companies (and in some cases free training for jobseekers). Availability depends on your sector and the network offering the course.

Skills to Advance (SOLAS / ETBs)

A national initiative delivering flexible upskilling and reskilling opportunities through local Education and Training Boards (ETBs), with a focus on employees in roles undergoing change. Options vary by region and eligibility.

Employer Sponsorship

Many organisations support training through learning budgets. In Ireland, if an employer pays course or exam fees that are relevant to the business, this may not be treated as a taxable benefit for the employee (subject to Revenue rules).

Tax Relief on Tuition Fees

You may be able to claim tax relief on qualifying tuition fees for approved third-level courses at approved colleges. Rules, limits and eligibility apply—check Revenue or Citizens Information guidance before relying on this option.
