Chapter 0: Pre-Work
The preparatory week is a self-paced learning unit focused on introducing you to the tools you’ll use when the bootcamp kicks off. You’ll also be provided with readings and theory content, plus a small task to help you feel comfortable and ready for the journey ahead.

Our Methodology
Online Live Learning
- Join interactive live online sessions where you can collaborate with peers and get real-time support from instructors (scheduled in Irish time, GMT/IST).
Self-study
- Part-time: 9 hours live learning, 11 hours of self-study (20 hours per week)
- Full-time: 22.5 hours live learning, 17.5 hours of self-study (40 hours per week)
Flipped Classroom Method
- Learn key concepts through guided materials, then use live sessions for discussion, problem-solving and hands-on application.
Guided Practice
- Build skills through practical exercises and project work, with regular feedback to help you improve and grow a portfolio you can be proud of.

What You’ll Need
You don’t need any prior qualifications in computer science or programming to join our bootcamp. We assume no prior knowledge and will guide you through the basics in the first few weeks, ensuring you build a strong foundation from the ground up. Whether you’re brand new to design or upskilling your digital product skills, our programme is designed to help you progress quickly and confidently.

- Stable Internet Connection: Reliable internet access for live learning sessions, tutorials, and collaborative tools.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Ability to navigate operating systems, file management, and internet browsers.
- Basic Creative Mindset or Interest in Design: A passion for problem-solving, creativity, and design thinking.
- English Proficiency: B1 level with the ability to follow instructions, communicate ideas, and participate in discussions effectively.
- Motivation and Willingness to Learn: A proactive attitude toward learning new concepts and tools in UI/UX design.
