Code Labs Academy Funding Options in Germany

Kickstart or advance your tech career in Germany with our funded, AZAV-certified courses. Explore how public funding can cover all or part of your tuition so you can focus on learning, not on the cost.

At Code Labs Academy, we understand the importance of accessible education.

That’s why many of our bootcamps can be funded through German programmes such as the Bildungsgutschein, Qualifizierungschancengesetz (QCG), Qualifizierungsgeld and more.
Thanks to our AZAV certification, eligible learners and employers can use these funding instruments to reduce or fully cover tuition costs, helping you focus on your education, upskilling and career progression instead of your budget.

Bildungsgutschein

The Bildungsgutschein (education voucher) is issued by the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter and enables participation in subsidised further education or retraining. For approved courses and eligible learners, it can cover tuition fees and, in some cases, examination fees, travel costs and necessary learning materials. As an AZAV-certified provider, Code Labs Academy offers selected programmes that can be funded via Bildungsgutschein, subject to approval by the responsible authority.

Qualifizierungschancengesetz (QCG)

The Qualifizierungschancengesetz gives employees the opportunity to undertake further training during their working life, especially in roles affected by digitalisation and structural change. Depending on the employer’s and employee’s situation, the Federal Employment Agency can cover a significant part of training costs and grant wage subsidies during training periods. Code Labs Academy’s AZAV-certified programmes can, under the right conditions, be co-funded via QCG, with final decisions made by the employment agency.

Qualifizierungsgeld

The Qualifizierungsgeld supports employees who participate in qualification measures necessary for transformation within their company. It provides financial assistance to maintain income levels during the qualification phase and promotes upskilling and long-term employability. In suitable cases, Code Labs Academy programmes can form part of such measures, in coordination with employers and the Federal Employment Agency.

WeGebAU

The WeGebAU programme (Weiterbildung Geringqualifizierter und beschäftigter älterer Arbeitnehmer in Unternehmen) promotes further training for low-skilled and older employees in companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Depending on the case, the Federal Employment Agency can partially or fully cover training costs. Our AZAV certification allows our bootcamps to be considered in consultation with employers and the agency where the programme criteria are met.

KOMPASS Program

The ESF Plus programme KOMPASS (Kompakte Hilfe für Solo-Selbstständige) provides financial support for selected continuing education and training measures for solo self-employed professionals. Its aim is to strengthen entrepreneurship, promote sustainable and high-quality work and support adaptation to change. Eligible self-employed learners can, together with a counselling centre, examine whether a Code Labs Academy bootcamp fits the programme’s criteria.

Short-Time Work (Kurzarbeit) and Qualification

If companies provide further training to employees during periods of short-time work (Kurzarbeit), the Federal Employment Agency can support them with financial assistance under certain conditions. In this context, Code Labs Academy’s AZAV-certified programmes can be considered as part of a company’s qualification strategy, subject to agreement with the agency and employer.

Funding Programs of the Federal States

In addition to federal funding, many German federal states offer their own programmes, training cheques or bonuses for further training and retraining. These can support both individuals and companies in financing professional development. Availability and conditions vary by state; our team can help you understand which Code Labs Academy programmes may be compatible, while the final decision always lies with the respective funding body.
