Prime members must actively link their Amazon and Lieferando accounts in order to take advantage of the Lieferando promotion. Thus, a Prime membership alone does not grant direct access to this advantage. Lieferando usually only covers delivery costs when a restaurant places an order totaling at least 15 euros.
Restaurants may occasionally charge more for their minimum orders in order to cover the expense of delivery. Furthermore, not all eateries take advantage of this promotion, and most of them don't cover delivery costs. Another restriction is that cash payments are not accepted; instead, the waiver is only applicable when using an online payment option.
Coupons versus Free Shipping Delivery charge waivers cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers. Delivery costs are still due even when a voucher is used at Lieferando. In order to redeem vouchers, customers must actively deactivate free delivery; Lieferando will automatically reactivate it on the subsequent order.
This discount is not valid internationally, therefore delivery costs will still apply if you use Lieferando services in countries other than Germany, like Just Eat in Switzerland or Grubhub in the United States. Similar partnerships with Amazon exist in Austria and Spain, with ambitions to expand these later to other nations.
Amazon is satisfied with how well its Prime membership program works. Both Amazon and Lieferando guarantee that no ordering activity data is shared when accounts are connected when Lieferando verifies a Prime status. Vice President of Amazon Prime Jamil Ghani praises the collaboration with Lieferando despite some recent reductions to Prime privileges. He feels that these kinds of partnerships add value to a Prime membership by enabling members to routinely save money.
