Funding & Training Support in Hungary
How to explore public and employer-supported options to finance your online bootcamp.
How to explore public and employer-supported options to finance your online bootcamp.
Hungary doesn’t use a single “education voucher” system like some other countries. Instead, funding can come through labour market programmes (via local employment offices) and employer upskilling schemes, depending on your situation (jobseeker, career starter, or employed).
If you are eligible, these programmes may support training costs and/or provide allowances while you retrain. Availability and conditions can vary by programme, region, and open calls — our team can help you understand what’s realistic for your profile and what information to prepare.
In some cases, public or employer-supported programmes can cover part or all of your tuition fees. Coverage depends on the specific programme and the decision of the relevant authority/employer. We can provide course details, schedules, and supporting documents to help with your application.
Eligibility depends on the programme, but these are common routes learners explore:
Many labour market programmes require registering with your local government employment office (kormányhivatal / járási hivatal employment department) before you can apply for training support.
If you’re not in education, employment, or training, you may be supported through Youth Guarantee Plus (Ifjúsági Garancia Plusz / GINOP Plusz-4.1.1-23) with options that can include training and job placement support.
Programmes such as “A munkaerő-kínálat bővítése és fejlesztése” (GINOP Plusz-3.1.1-23) can offer personalised support for jobseekers or service-seekers aged 30–64, including training and other employment-related support.
If you are employed, your employer may be able to support your upskilling through workplace training schemes (for example “Munkahelyi képzések támogatása” / GINOP Plusz-3.2.1-21), depending on eligibility and open calls.
If you are registered as a jobseeker, you may also be eligible for jobseeker’s allowance (álláskeresési járadék) depending on your work history. This can help cover living costs while you train.
Identify which route fits your situation: (1) Youth Guarantee Plus (15–29), (2) labour market programmes for jobseekers/inactive adults (e.g., GINOP Plusz-3.1.1-23), or (3) employer-sponsored workplace training (e.g., GINOP Plusz-3.2.1-21).
