How you’ll learn
Live online learning
- Join interactive live sessions where you can ask questions, collaborate with peers, and learn directly from instructors in real time—accessible from Iceland (UTC/GMT) and across Europe.
Self-study that actually works
- Part-time: 9 hours live learning + 11 hours self-study (20 hours/week)
- Full-time: 22.5 hours live learning + 17.5 hours self-study (40 hours/week)
Flipped classroom approach
- Use pre-reading and guided materials to prepare, then spend live sessions practising, discussing, and applying what you’ve learned—so class time stays hands-on and useful.
Guided practice and portfolio building
- You’ll practise continuously through exercises, labs, and projects—building a portfolio that demonstrates your skills clearly, whether your goal is professional upskilling, freelance work, or a new role.
What you’ll need
No formal computer science background is required. We start from fundamentals and build up through practice—ideal if you’re new to security or upskilling from an IT, engineering, or general tech role. You’ll get structure, feedback, and hands-on work from the start (online from Iceland or anywhere).
- Laptop or computer: A device capable of running necessary security tools, virtual machines, or other software. Minimum requirements: 16GB RAM, 512GB storage (SSD preferred), Core i5 CPU or above
- Stable internet connection: Reliable internet access for live sessions, labs, and assignments (broadband or stable mobile internet).
- Basic computing knowledge: Comfort navigating an operating system, installing software, and managing files.
- Basic web knowledge: Familiarity with how the web works (HTTP/HTTPS, browsers, and basic web concepts).
- English proficiency: B1 level or higher—enough to follow technical materials and communicate in class (the bootcamp is taught in English).
- Commitment to learning: Willingness to dedicate time each week for live learning, assignments, and self-study.
