Chapter 0: Pre-Work
Our prework helps you build a strong foundation and confidence around the concepts and technologies any software developer needs to master. This includes introductions to languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will also learn how to use key developer tools: Git, GitHub, and VS Code.

Our methodology
Live online learning
- Learn through interactive live sessions where you can engage directly with instructors and peers in real time, ideal for collaboration and fast skill-building.
Self-study
- Part-time: 9 hours live learning + 11 hours self-study (20 hours total per week)
- Full-time: 22.5 hours live learning + 17.5 hours self-study (40 hours total per week)
Flipped classroom
- Use a flipped classroom approach: review core concepts independently, then apply them during live sessions through discussion, labs and guided exercises.
Guided practice
- Build confidence through hands-on exercises and portfolio projects, with structured guidance to help you apply what you learn.

What you’ll need
You don’t need any prior qualifications in computer science or programming to join our bootcamp. We assume no prior knowledge and will guide you through the fundamentals in the first few weeks, helping you build a strong foundation. Whether you’re new to the field or upskilling for a more technical role, the program is designed to help you progress quickly and confidently.
- Laptop or Computer: A device capable of running necessary code editors, browsers, and local development environments.
- Stable Internet Connection: Reliable internet access for live learning sessions, hands-on labs, and assignments.
- Basic Computer Literacy: Ability to navigate operating systems, file management, and internet browsers.
- English Proficiency: Intermediate English (roughly CEFR B1) to understand technical materials and communicate effectively in class.
- Commitment to Learning: Willingness to dedicate several hours per week for live learning sessions, assignments, and self-study.
