Education in a Severance Agreement
If your job is ending, education funded as part of the sluttavtale is tax-free up to 1.5 G, roughly NOK 204,800, when it qualifies you for work with your next employer. It has to be written in before you sign.
Private Foundations (legater)
Norway has more than 2,000 private foundations awarding education grants, typically NOK 5,000 to 30,000, and almost none of them ask about the school. The criterion that most often decides is your home municipality.
