In Norway, many learners also use workplace support for competence development (employer sponsorship), and in some situations public measures may apply (for example, NAV-related training support where eligible). Some HK-dir schemes are designed to fund competence development through employers or organisations (such as Kompetansepluss and the Treparts bransjeprogram) depending on scope and criteria.
