Fees Free (final-year)
For eligible first-time learners, Fees Free may cover the final year of an eligible tertiary qualification (or final 2 years of eligible work-based learning) up to a capped amount. Check eligibility and programme rules.
StudyLink (Student Loan and/or Student Allowance)
StudyLink provides information on student finance in New Zealand, including Student Loans and Student Allowances. Eligibility depends on residency, study load, and whether your provider/programme is approved.
Work and Income training support
If you’re receiving a benefit, Work and Income may be able to help with some training costs (for example, Training Incentive Allowance or Course Participation Assistance). Eligibility and programme rules apply.
