Funding Options in France
Eligibility varies by individual situation, region, and programme requirements. We’ll help you identify which routes are worth exploring.
CPF (Compte Personnel de Formation)
CPF credit is spent on courses with an RNCP or RS listing from a Qualiopi-certified provider, which is what the catalogue is built around. What works for a course with us: the frais réels deduction, démission-reconversion and employer funding.
France Travail (AIF)
France Travail’s individual training aid is a discretionary grant scoped to the providers in its Kairos catalogue. If you are registered, keeping your benefit while you study (ARE formation) is decided on your project, not on the school.
Transitions Pro (PTP)
A PTP funds certifying courses from providers on France’s training registers, the same condition as the CPF. Resigning from a CDI to retrain? Transitions Pro’s attestation is what lets you keep ARE through démission-reconversion.
Employer funding via OPCO (Plan de développement des compétences)
Your employer can pay for your course from its own training budget: a business purchase, which no register restricts. OPCO co-funding is a different matter and sits behind the same French register as the CPF.
Regional Training Programmes (PRF)
Regions fund jobseekers’ places on the courses they commission, not on a course you pick. Open to you as a jobseeker: interest-free instalments, frais réels in a year with taxable income, and employer funding once hired.
Pro-A (Reconversion or promotion by alternance)
Pro-A is work-study for employees, funded by the OPCO for a certifying course, so it sits behind the same French register as the CPF. Employed? Your employer can pay for your course directly from its own training budget.
Agefiph support (disability-related support)
For learners with a recognised disability, Agefiph may support certain employment-related training or associated costs, depending on your situation and the planned pathway.
