Code Labs Academy is remote-first by design. That means the learning experience isn’t a “video call version” of an in-person class—it’s structured specifically for online learners, with live instruction, hands-on labs, collaborative work with peers, and dedicated 1:1 support.

All of our bootcamps are delivered fully online, including Web Development, UX/UI Design, Cyber Security, and Data Science & AI.

To get the most out of the remote experience, you’ll need a reliable internet connection, a laptop or desktop computer, and a quiet place to focus during live sessions and project work.

For learners in Iceland, we plan around Iceland time (UTC/GMT) for clarity. If you’re joining from another location, you’re welcome to join as long as the live schedule is practical for you—if you’re unsure, we can help you figure it out during a quick call.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the admissions process like?

You can apply using the apply button on the website.

In the application, we’ll ask about your motivation and what you want to achieve—whether that’s upskilling for your current role, building a portfolio, or preparing for new opportunities.

After you submit your application, you’ll receive an email with next steps and an invitation to book a short call with one of our learning specialists.

On the call, we’ll review your answers, help you choose the right program and learning pace, and answer any questions about workload, schedule (including Iceland time, UTC/GMT), and what to expect during the bootcamp.

Once you decide to enrol and select a payment option, we’ll send onboarding documents and collect a deposit.

After you’re enrolled, you’ll get access to our learning platform, pre-work to help you start strong, and community channels to connect with other learners.

Does CLA really teach anyone, from anywhere?

Yes—our programs are designed to be taken remotely from anywhere. Because the bootcamps include live, instructor-led sessions (not just self-paced content), time zones do matter.

For Iceland-based learners, we reference Iceland time (UTC/GMT). If you’re outside Iceland, you can still join as long as the live schedule works comfortably for you. If you’re not sure, book a call and we’ll help you check fit before you commit.

What are my options for funding?

We offer flexible payment solutions and may have discounts available depending on the cohort.

In Iceland, learners often look into funding through employer training budgets or trade union education funds (fræðslusjóðir), depending on eligibility and membership. We can usually provide the documentation commonly needed for reimbursement (such as an invoice and course outline).

If you’d like help thinking through the options, book a call with our team and we’ll walk you through what’s available.
