Our remote-first setup is designed for live participation, so you get real interaction with instructors, guided practice, and consistent progress (not just passive videos).
Code Labs Academy is remote-first by design, meaning the learning experience is built around what works online: interactive live classes, guided labs, structured self-study, and regular feedback. You’re not left alone to “figure it out”; you learn in a cohort and practise skills in a way that mirrors real work.
All programmes are available online, including Web Development, UX/UI Design, Data Science & AI, and Cybersecurity. Each one is project-based, so you finish with portfolio-ready work you can actually show.
To get the best experience, you’ll need a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer. If you can reliably join live sessions and set aside focused study time each week, remote learning can be as engaging as in-person, often more flexible.
Cohorts are typically scheduled in Central European Time (CET/CEST), which fits naturally for learners in Slovakia. If you’re joining from a different time zone, you can still participate as long as the live session times are realistic for your day-to-day schedule.

What happens after I apply?
Once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email with the next steps and a link to book a short call with one of our learning specialists.
During the call, we’ll talk through your goals (upskilling for your current role, building a portfolio, or preparing for a new opportunity), confirm which programme and schedule makes sense for you, and answer any questions about the learning format.
If you decide to proceed, we’ll guide you through enrolment and onboarding. You’ll get access to our learning platform, pre-course materials to help you start strong, and a community space to connect with your cohort.
Can I join from anywhere in Slovakia?
Yes. Our bootcamps are delivered online, so you can join from anywhere in Slovakia as long as you have a reliable internet connection and a device that can handle the tools used in your programme.
Live sessions typically run on a CET/CEST schedule, which works well across Slovakia. If you’re joining from outside Central Europe, make sure the lesson times still fit your routine, live participation is a key part of the experience.
What funding options are available in Slovakia?
Funding can look different depending on your situation. Many learners explore a mix of options:
- <strong>Employer sponsorship</strong>: some companies have learning and development budgets for upskilling.
- <strong>Flexible payment plans</strong> and occasional <strong>discounts</strong> offered by the academy.
- <strong>Public support</strong>: eligible applicants may be able to use training contributions through ÚPSVaR schemes such as <strong>RE-PAS+</strong> (retraining) and <strong>KOMPAS+</strong> (competency courses), subject to availability, eligibility criteria, and regional rules.
