Learn remotely with a program designed for online success—live classes, guided practice, and instructor support built into your week. Our cohorts are scheduled with Japan Standard Time (JST) in mind, so you can stay consistent, collaborate with your peers, and make steady progress alongside work and life.
Code Labs Academy is remote-first by design. That means the learning experience isn’t a “virtual version” of something else—it’s built specifically for online learners, with live sessions, hands-on labs, structured weekly goals, and feedback loops that keep you moving.
All bootcamps are available online, including Web Development, UX/UI Design, Cyber Security, and Data Science & AI. You’ll learn through practical projects that you can add to your portfolio and keep improving after graduation.
To get the most out of the experience, you’ll need a reliable laptop/desktop computer, stable high-speed internet, and a comfortable setup for joining live sessions and completing project work.
Our live teaching and support are scheduled with Japan Standard Time (JST) in mind. You can join from anywhere in Japan—and if you’re joining from outside Japan, simply make sure the timetable works for your location so you can participate consistently.
You can apply using the apply now button displayed at the top right hand corner of this page.
You’ll be asked a short question about your motivation and what you want to achieve (for example: upskilling for your current role, building a portfolio, or preparing for a new opportunity).
After submitting your application, you’ll receive an email with next steps and a link to book time with one of our learning specialists.
In the call, we’ll review your application, answer any questions, and confirm the best program and study format for you. We can also discuss scheduling in Japan Standard Time (JST), tuition in JPY (¥), and common funding or employer support routes in Japan.
Once you decide on your program and your preferred payment option, you’ll receive onboarding documents to sign and a deposit will be collected.
After enrolling, you’ll get access to our learning platform, pre-work to help you start strong, and community spaces where you can connect with your cohort.
Yes. You can join a Code Labs Academy cohort remotely from anywhere in Japan. Live participation is a key part of the experience, so our sessions are scheduled with Japan Standard Time (JST) in mind.
If you’re joining from another country, you’re still welcome to apply—just make sure the timetable works for you so you can attend live classes and collaborate with your cohort.
Funding options vary depending on your personal situation and eligibility, but learners in Japan often explore a mix of routes:
• Employer-sponsored training budgets (common for upskilling within a current role) • Public education and training benefits, such as Employment Insurance Education and Training Benefits (教育訓練給付制度), when applicable (course designation and individual eligibility apply) • Company support tied to workforce development programs (for eligible employers), including initiatives such as 人材開発支援助成金 • Reskilling initiatives that combine training and career support (e.g., リスキリングを通じたキャリアアップ支援事業)
We also run discounts and occasional promotions. During your admissions call, we can talk through common options, what documentation is typically needed, and how learners plan their budget alongside tuition shown in JPY (¥).
Choosing a program is a big decision, so we make the process human from the start. After you apply, you’ll speak with a learning specialist who can help you map your goals to the right bootcamp, clarify scheduling in Japan Standard Time (JST), and talk through tuition in JPY (¥) and potential support routes.
