In Hungary, eligible learners can sometimes finance professional training through public programmes managed by the Hungarian Employment Service (NFSZ) and county government offices (kormányhivatalok). Depending on your situation, support may cover part or all of your training costs, and some programmes can also include additional allowances.
Common routes include:
• Training support for registered jobseekers and inactive adults (képzési támogatás).
• Youth programmes such as Youth Guarantee Plus (Ifjúsági Garancia Plusz) for eligible 15–29 year-olds.
• Employer upskilling grants (e.g., GINOP Plusz workplace training support), where your company applies and sponsors your training.
Coverage depends on the programme and your eligibility. Some schemes can subsidise tuition up to 100%, while others require co-financing from you or your employer. Funding rules and accepted providers can vary by call and region — we recommend checking with your local employment office (járási hivatal) or HR team, then booking a call with us to confirm the documents you’ll need (invoice, syllabus, training plan, certificate).
