Proudly remote-first, Code Labs Academy offers a learning environment genuinely designed to work around where you are. With hands-on lectures, design labs, 1:1 hours with instructors and built-in teamwork with peers, you never have to feel like you’re missing out on the experience of an in-person learning community.
All subjects are offered in a remote learning format so you can join from Canada or anywhere in the world.
To experience remote learning to its fullest, you will need a consistent, reliable and high-speed internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer.
Our live sessions are currently scheduled primarily in North American Eastern Time (ET), which works well for many learners across Canada and beyond. As a participant, you can join lessons from any remote location where this schedule fits your day-to-day life.
Aspiring technologists, students and working professionals looking to upskill or change careers can apply using the apply now button displayed at the top right-hand corner of this page.
You will be asked a few questions about your background and your motivation for joining our bootcamp.
Upon completing your application, you will be sent an email outlining next steps and requesting that you book time with one of our learning specialists.
The Code Labs Academy learning specialist will review the answers given at admissions and answer any outstanding questions or concerns you may have. This is to ensure that, should you choose to enrol on the chosen course, you can proceed with full confidence that we are the best fit for your learning and career goals.
Once an applicant has decided which course is best for them and has chosen a financing option suitable to their needs, they will be sent their onboarding papers to sign and a deposit will be collected.
Once enrolled, participants will be granted access to Code Labs Academy’s learning platform (to familiarise themselves with our virtual classroom), two weeks’ worth of preparational study (to ensure all participants have a working understanding of their chosen study area) and a forum (for connecting with their fellow learners from across the world).
Anyone can join a Code Labs Academy cohort from anywhere in the world remotely, regardless of geographical location. Our home teaching schedule is currently based primarily on North American Eastern Time (ET), which works well for many learners across Canada and other regions.
Participants in locations that cannot be comfortably supported by this time zone are advised that we may not be the best fit for them at this time.
We work with multiple financing solutions to make access to our courses as smooth as possible, including flexible instalment plans and third-party payment providers.
We also run various early bird and circumstantial discount schemes. These can be found on our Discounts page and discussed during your application process.
If you are based in Canada, you may also wish to explore national or provincial funding and training programs such as the Canada Training Credit, provincial retraining initiatives (for example, Better Jobs Ontario) or employer-supported training grants like the Canada Job Grant or provincial employer training incentives. While we cannot determine eligibility or guarantee approval, our team can help you understand how our programs fit within these schemes and support you in gathering the information you need.
We know that choosing an educator can be a daunting task. That’s why we put every one of our potential participants in touch with a human as soon as possible, and you’ll stay in contact with them until you start your course.
