Training support in Belgium is organised mainly at regional level. Depending on where you live and your employment status, you may be able to reduce your tuition costs, get employer support, or take paid time off work while you study.
Common routes include Flemish Training Vouchers (opleidingscheques), Flemish Training Leave (Vlaams opleidingsverlof / VOV), and Paid Educational Leave (congé-éducation payé) in Brussels and Wallonia. Some employers may also be eligible for Wallonia Training Cheques (chèques-formation) to subsidise staff training.
Coverage varies by programme. Some schemes subsidise part of the course fee, while others focus on paid time off or employer reimbursement. If you share your region and status, we can help you identify the most relevant route and what to check for eligibility.
