If you have already enrolled or paid, the money is gone from an AMS perspective, however strong your case would otherwise have been. If your start date is close, talk to us first: it is almost always better to hold your seat for a later intake than to enrol without a written Förderzusage.

Ask for the reasons, ideally in writing, and be specific about what would change the answer: a different intake, a more intensive format, a clearer target job, better evidence of demand. Then book a follow-up appointment with that evidence in hand. The decision is about whether the training improves your chances on the labour market. Yes. What matters is that you are registered with the AMS, which already presupposes you have access to the Austrian labour market. Our teaching is entirely in English, which is an advantage for the international tech employers in Vienna rather than a problem. Be aware that the appointment itself will usually be held in German: bring someone who can interpret if you are not confident, and we will provide the course documents and the price quote in German so your advisor has everything on file.
